libaio is installed to /usr/lib:

ldd $(which vgchange)
... => /usr/lib/ (0x00007f7a8c97c000)

however I have /usr as an lv, which means that vgchange can't run at boot (or shutdown) and the system won't start

all other libs required by vgchange are in /lib
