In version 7 the duid and secret files location (and names) has changed from /etc/dhcpcd to (in CRUX) /var/lib/dhcpcd

I use the option "slaac private" to have a stable private IPv6 address but this is derived from (among other things) these 2 files and following the upgrade to version 7 these files were recreated in /var/lib/dhcpcd with different content to the existing files in /etc/dhcpcd and thus my IPv6 address changed.

Copying the existing files and restarting networking restored my expected address.

It would be nice if the CRUX package could handle this in some way to avoid surprises. It also affects IPv4 if the DHCP server has a fixed allocation referenced by ID instead of (or in addition to) MAC address.

According to there is a Makefile target which may help.
