DetailsUsing webkitgtk (version 2.14.5) to build Surf v2.0 or luakit results in the same behaviour when opening the web inspector.
Note: This also applies to the MiniBrowser too - enable developer tools/inspector and the same behaviour results as when used with other browsers. Expected: interactive web inspector tools What happens: What looks like an unevaluated page of html pops up. Proposed Fix: add the shared-mime-info port as a dependency so the browser knows how to handle the inspector. |

This is the full output when trying to use the web inspector.

vlnx has made a comment that shared-mime-info from ports is a runtime dependency, can anyone test this? I don't have a crux install right now.

vlnx says, "It's loaded from a local file, and it needs to determine the mime type to render it."

I've added shared-mime-info to dependencies and updated to 2.16.5
